Film Festival
Water, Activism, Rock, Fire, Music, Ice, Humor. What does Adventure mean to you? It means all of these things and more to the filmmakers, athletes and activist who make this event happen. From hundreds of submissions, over 25 films have been selected by a local jury. These films cover the range of human adventure from heart-stopping athleticism to environmental documentaries to the far reaches of the earth and mind. From this selection, award winners are presented in categories ranging from "Best Adventure Sport Film" to "Activism through Adventure Award".
Each film session is unique with different film selections and filmmakers, athletes and visionaries live and on-stage. We believe in the power of the story, especially the narrative of adventure and awakening, to change and challenge the world we live in.
In 08 Adventure Film moves to the fall, November 6-8!

CHAOS ENVIRONMENTAL FILM SERIES
This year we have partnered with the Wild Bear Center for Nature Discovery to present a special selection of environmental films. These powerful selections are presented throughout the festival. Chaos films explore the concepts of order and disorder; of planetary and psychological change; of chaos, symmetry, beauty, acceptance and renewal. All too often, in our attempt to control nature, we send the balanced earth into CHAOS.
SPECIAL ON-STAGE EVENTS
Not everything that happens at the festival is on the silver screen. Each year local artists, athletes and personalities share their version of adventure. Some of this year's highlights:
- Adventure artist Emilie Lee
- Madman Timmy O'Neill will be on-stage and in your seat
- Author Pete Takeda will present his latest gripping tale, "Eye at the Top of the World", and be available for signing books
